Band Together

Band Together

Band Together provides comprehensive music education opportunities to students in grades six through 12, designed to foster strong music individual and ensemble skills and develop leadership potential. Band Together is a sponsored project of the Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County and funded through ARPA supported by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.

Classes meet at historic Shiloh Baptist Church, where students receive weekly group ensemble rehearsals, fundamentals of musicianship including music theory and basic piano skills, and weekly private lessons. Participation in a school band program is strongly encouraged in cases when band is available at the student’s school. Limited numbers of instruments are available in cases where the student cannot bring a personal or school instrument to rehearsal.
