WINSTON-SALEM – The Public Forums Committee of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) Chancellor Search Committee has set three public forums for Wednesday, Nov. 14. They are:

• Forum for all UNCSA students – Noon to 12:45 p.m. in the Thrust Theatre of Performance Place on the UNCSA campus, 1533 South Main St., Winston-Salem;
• Forum for all UNCSA faculty and staff – 12:45 to 2 p.m. in the Thrust Theatre of Performance Place on the UNCSA campus; and
• Community Forum – 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Borden Hanes Conference Room, Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts, 251 North Spruce St., Winston-Salem.

School of the Arts alumni are encouraged to participate in the Community Forum; however, the committee will also send out a survey to alumni and have conference calls for alumni to provide feedback as well.

The Public Forums Committee is charged with planning public forums focused on gathering feedback from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community on the qualities/traits wanted in the school’s next chancellor. The themes and comments provided will inform the leadership statement.

The Public Forums Committee includes Chancellor Search Committee members Lynn Eisenberg (committee chair), Nick Correa, David English, Dale Pollock, Judy Watson, Nyambi Shannon and Mark Land, and Director of Alumni Affairs Jonas Silver.

As a reminder, the Leadership Statement Committee is meeting from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. this Thursday, Nov. 8, and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19. Both meetings will be held in the Yekovich Room of the School of Music Complex on the campus.
