A CELEBRATION OF THE 100TH BIRTHDAY OF BENJAMIN BRITTEN
Born on St. Cecilia’s Day in 1913, Benjamin Britten has been heralded as the finest British composer of the later 20th century. His works, from the opera Peter Grimes to The War Requiem to The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, have all become standard repertoire. UNCSA joins the international celebration of this composer’s 100th birthday by exploring his music. Look for the britten 100 logo to find all the exciting events.
