UNCSA Alumni West was initially formed in 2008 by a group of dedicated alumni eager to recreate the
UNCSA community on the West coast. Over the last several years, UNCSA Alumni West has quickly amassed
an extensive database of over over 1,500 UNCSA graduates and as of April 2011, aligned with the UNCSA
Foundation creating the first official Alumni Chapter for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
The mission of UNCSA Alumni West is to celebrate the uniqueness of the UNCSA experience, to assist in the
advancement of alumni in the pursuit of excellence, to build strong and mutually beneficial ties between the
University and its diverse alumni, and establish UNCSA alumni as ambassadors of the arts.
UNCSA Alumni West is dedicated to providing and supporting opportunities for alumni to grow both
artistically and professionally, through educational and networking events, and strives to promote alumni
achievements in creative endeavors on the West coast and across the nation.
Serve as a liaison between the UNCSA Alumni Office and alumni to ensure that the long term
interests of Alumni relationships are served.
Initiate alumni events and programs that provide professional development and social interaction.
Develop and maintain a system for supporting and promoting alumni professional accomplishments
through attendance and promotion of events.
Assist current students in the transition from the educational environment to the professional world.
