UNCSA alumni earned major theater honors this month, with Gisela Estrada (M.F.A. '23) winning a Helen Hayes Award for outstanding set design for "Covenant" at Theater Alliance. Fellow nominees included Jonathan Dahm Robertson (B.F.A. '15) for "The Nance" and Jon Hudson Odom (College Arts Diploma '08) for "Metamorphoses."

The Office of Community Engagement at UNCSA is commemorating 10 years of ArtistCorps, a community engagement program which utilizes the skills of UNCSA students to provide arts instruction, integration and exposure to school-aged children and seniors in the Winston-Salem community.

UNCSA Media will release "Desert Pass," a new album from the chamber ensemble Zéphyros Winds, on June 20. Released through UNCSA Media, the album includes "The Light is the Same" by Reena Esmail and world premiere recordings of "Tatu" by David Sanford and "Desert Pass" by UNCSA alum Tyson Gholston Davis.
